Portable entertainment devices such as MP3 or DVD players which allow people to listen to music or watch films are now commonplace. What do you think are the main advantages and disadvantages of this development?

Recently, these portable entertainment devices have become essential in our lives, and you can hardly see a house that has no MP3 or DVD player in it. People tend to use these devices as they are easy to carry and they can use them everywhere. We can use MP3 players while playing sports, jogging, travelling and shopping. And we can use DVD players while travelling too, and it is easier to use if outside the house. Also these devices have lots of applications, like calenders, clock, games and we can download videos and pictures too. However, as these devices have advantages they have some disadvantages too. These devices may harm our eyes since the screen is too small, and the resolution might not be of a high quality. Its harmful to our ears too, because of using headphones and most people use them for hours. Though they play a great role in our lives making it easier as they are portable devices.
